I've been banned AGAIN!!

I've been banned from the BMW Car Club forum for the third time :D

Why? Well it goes like this. I made some comment about how moden BMW's are tending to be bought by flash gits. Some other a*se chips in and has a go at me for this. But....his sig pic lists his Ԛ£50'000 M3 Conv with every extra listed and no less than three pictures of it! I just hate people like that who feel they have to ram it down your throat. Sad tosser.
A slagging match ensued in which this guy actually insulted a moderator. Feeling a ban coming on, I apologised to the other guy and we both got banned........for 2 months!

Sadly the BMW CC forum is like that and moderators need to ease up a bit. No swear words were used and much off the p*ss taking was tongue in cheek. This is why this forum is great. Agreed?

Seaman Staines AKA Master Bates.

Edited for some shocking spelling. Where's me dictionary?

DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM SONNY?? :D :D :D

P.S How's the 2.8? Have you any idea of the oil consumption yet?

Not surprising, considering the people you know !

Ant, E30Adam ?

And worst of all, "turd-miester" PacerPete ?

Only joking.

Yes, the BMW CC lot are quite strange, which is why most people dislike them. It's picked up a bad reputation of bureaucratic (sp ?), trigger happy mods and in general, a pretty dull place.

Shame, as they could do a lot better if they were not so narrow minded in most aspects :surrender:

I've got to admit, i feel the BMWCC forum is not keeping up with the times. Hence why there are so many other great forum groups!

Oh well Andy, guess we will be seeing more of you here then

I have no idea why it was using oil but a change of cylinder head and gasket seemed to do the trick, doesn't use a drop now.

It's still off the road though, failed a few things on it's MOT and I've just stopped for a lunch break in the middle of changing the fuel tank, what a bitch of a job. Also need to change handbrake cable and flexi brake lines so I've bought some goodridge ones to replace the old ones with.

Oi, less of the cheek Knob Jockey

Just 'cos Ian's got 0.7 litres more than you!! :D :D  (x2)

I reckon you had a faulty headgasket. If the guides and stem seals are okay and the head is perfectly flat there's no other reason for it to use oil because M20 heads never crack across into an oilway. Weird huh?

As for the forum:

It's a shame because yes, the M Power forum is great. But like the BMW Car Forum there's a little too much 'look how rich I am' everyone. There are about 3 or 4 on both forums, just w*nkers who want to show off in a sad p*ssing contest.
But the mods at the CC forum have a hard job because the CC is a conservative organisation and they have to keep it 'within bounds'. But there were a load of us there - myself, Pacerpete and a load of 7 Series owners from the old 7 Series forum that had regular pisstaking banter. Pacerpete made a comment about council estates that upset a few folk!!

He has got quite a stack of rusting old turds hasn't he! I'm suprised the council haven't charged him for fly tipping in his own yard...

Joking aside, there's one or two nice looking motors he's got. Wouldn't mind taking a few out and 'testing' them for him... just to keep the engines ticking over.

hey andy boy.......i've read your argument on the bmwcc....i think quite alot of the mods on there shout out loud alot themselves and then ban everyone else involved, even if they were as bad as or worse than the accused parties....everything seems so uptight there for some reason and everyone is just so tense and ready to explode that when something is said most of them just go off on one. strange really coz its the only place where things like that happen so often (that i've seen anyway). i know that all forums get arguments, even this one, but over there everything is such a fiasco and gets blown out of proportion....shame you got banned as you didn't really do anything wrong, alot less than anyone else as a matter of fact but there you go.

my 2p worth anyway

I left the E30 fold some months ago and got a five series, so searched around for a relevant website..

No doubt after the e30 zone they are all generally boring with a few notable exceptions, im in no way the argumentative type but a few of them called to ban me after a bit of a (non abusive) debate

I also see they want to ban non BMWCC members from turning up at a meet this coming weekend at a pub in Northampton!

Anal is the word that sums it up...

it's ok on some bits, like the e30 register forum and the ne forum but some of the other sections, like the general chat ones can get very bitchy at times. people call people worse than sh1t and then when they get called they go off on one and get on their soapbox but in general i avoid these sort of things as i don't like keyboard warriors personaly. in general though most of the people on thier are good people and its ok, if a little slow paced.
