......for my brake problems?

well it looks like it could be.

finally got a chance to test the brakes on my sport this morning.

at first i moved the car back & forth on the drive to make sure there were no leaks (none found) & then decided to take it round the block on the new estate/private road (the estate still ain't finished so still classed as a private road) behind mine,

glad to report that the brakes work perfectly fine, hauled the car up from 30(ish winkeye ) a cople of times, at one point just lightly tapped the brake peddle at 30mph & it came to a jolting halt.

so it looks like after all the ball/headaches t's fnally sorted, going to test them again over the next few days just to make sure.

for anyone interested the complete brake set up is made up of the following.

E9x servo & 25.5mm M/C with m12 male to m10 female adapters.
non abs.
mk2 focus st225 front calipers (ASBO's)
brass caliper guide pin bushes.
315x25 mk5 golf gt front discs (cross drilled & grooved) redrilled to 4x100.
mintex m1144 pads,

full braided steel lines to all for calipers.

rebuilt rear calipers with brass caliper guide pin bushes.
mintex m1144 pads,
drill/grooved discs.

the whole set up cost me just under £600 which i dont this is bad when you consider most 2nd hand front BBK's can cost over that,

anyway i'll try them again tomorrow & keep my fingers crossed.
