Tell ya wat as i write this i could burst into tears. for those that know the heart ache and time that went into this car you'll understand. Nearly cost me my missus and kid doin this and just as it was an all singin flyin machine i fall asleep and hit a fuckin wall!!!!

the e28 3.5 conversion was goin well. i had the engine out for the 5th time and rebuilt it top to bottom. new crank lightened fly wheel new pistons piston rings everythig possible done to the head. just stripped off all the old underseal and re sealed the whole thing. Decked on its ass on 18's with willwood 4 pot to stop me.

new carpet (brand new) 2x half leather front seat single center drivers seat in the back, all the nos ready to go(never got to f ing use it) quickshift all sorted.

i loved this car to bits. would never have sold it! now i dont have to its a mess. hit the wall that hard its buckled the fron end in the air and bent the roof!!!! pushed all the doors back 6 inches and the impact bent all the seats! the drivers foot well is now only wide enough to fit the clutch pedal and brake pedal side by side.

the pats i got salvaged are for sale

http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... 088#290088

best think i can say is
"it dont matter how hard you work or the long hours you do its not worth ya life or car!!!!"

when i get pics off phone i'll post em up.

thats exactly what my mate said when he smashed up his estate car
which had took him 4 years to build and thousands of pounds.
he came over the brow of a hill in a storm and there was a tree laying bank to bank at a 45 degree angle luckily it was an import from italy and a left hooker so it took the roof off and pushed the roof down into the seat where your ass would be and down into the footwells on the right side.thank fuck i wasnt with him i would have been beheaded.

everyone on the forum kept saying "well main thing is your ok" and "at least your alive" but sometimes you dont really just dont wanna hear shit like that in situations. id be the same. id rather be beaten to near death than lose my car and ive only got a 325

thats no dig at you by the way kos me ol monkey winkeye

well sorry to hear dude but hopefully another project will commence

So sorry to hear that dude. I know of th time and effort that goes into these things and then the pressure of the missus too. As said though, at least you are alive to build another one. This just shows even more how careful you have to be with tiredness and driving. I once fell asleep on the A3 in my old cab at 4 in the morning after being at work all day, then straight on the doors all night. I hit the central reservation at 80mph and the only thing that saved me was the fact the i had the cruize control on so the car drifted and hit the wall sideways, but kept going forwards. Had i been on a normal road with parked cars i may not be here sharing this with you.

I know it's difficult, but at least you know you can do it now, so build another one if tiy have the time and money :(

Cheers all for ya kind words. its not the money that ent into the car its my time. musta spent months of goin to work then work on car few hours sleep and back to car.

yer ya right another project will be on its way. admittedly i ainty a clue way?

like ya say money a big factor and with having to have possible a month off work before i'm walking propperly there aint gonna be much of that comin in.

I can however see a 325 shitter for bout 150squid. decked on 9inch wide alloys sprayed matt black. this is me shoestring project.

car - 150
alloys - in shed
10 cans of matt black spray paint - 20 squid.

This mite sound harsh mate but screw the car at least your intact and able to build another, the car wouldnt be much good to you if you was dead or too badly hurt to ever drive again !

Some stupid twat woman just crashed into me.. Effectively writing off my car.

Having to settle out of insurance to stop me from loosing my no claims. It was her fault but will go 50/50 as its a roundabout. If I pay I only have a non fault accident recorded. If I fight it, I loose no-claims in short term till proven otherwise and I'm due to renew next month. Plus it'd probably go 50/50 so I's loose 2 years of no claims and I can't afford that as I've just bought a 3.2 to swap into it!

I'm getting fcuked over in every possible way but have to take it for no claims! If it happened a month later and I had protected I'd tell her to go stick it up her arse and let my insurance sort it. It's blatantly her fault!!

This sucks. I'd only just washed and polished it )was at ace by the door - red 318is)

Bitch!

Sorry to hear about car man. Cant you keep parts fr another touring shell?

Jai
