Barry did quite a bit of work on it to put it right and did an appraisal of what the work 'should' have cost.
There was incompetence on one side but I think there was a touch of naivety on the other, Thing is if you are paying that kind of money for a restoration you get to get to be picky. I certainly would be.
For anyone interested he puts his side of the story on a dedicated faceache page, he does allow Schmiedmann space to reply.
I read more in to it after I posted it up as there where mentions in the comments in the second vid, haven't had time to look in to it further but will do.

I'd say its shocking... But I'm not surprised. I guess you could argue the guys a bit naive, but if you're using a "decent" outfit, you have to trust to some degree they're going to do a nice job of it and do what they've been paid to do. In this instance, it looks like they've gone through the motions.
