Backdating a face-lifted 325i to chrome bumpers

Random question but I have always preferred the chrome bumper look on my E30's,
However I have the opportunity to buy a rather nice 325i with a rather tatty Mtech bodykit on it. the body seems to be in great condition otherwise.
I know that the differences between the pre-FL and post-FL include lots of things like altered lights, lower wheel arches and trim variations, and I have no intention of totally backdating the car.
All I am thinking of doing is removing the bodykit and putting on chrome bumpers... is it that easy? Or am I missing something?
