Doctors’ and their cars, trivial symptoms and Lemforder

Hi to everyone
I’m a recently retired doctor.
I’ve owned a 1990 320 Cabriolet since 1993. Pictures attached. It’s been polished to within a whisker of its life, and used mainly In the dry . I also have had motorbikes and various Landcruisers to spread the load. I’ve finally got the time to do a couple of jobs on it ( and a decent garage at last) so will be asking a few questions from you bunch of experts.
Anyway, I’d just like to put it out there regarding those for sale adverts where the vendor states ‘ previous owner a doctor’ . Always makes me laugh. Most of my colleagues didn’t know their arse end from the front end of a spanner if you’ll pardon my vernacular, and they are the tightest bunch of gits you’re ever likely to meet. So their cars were generally disaster zones. Steer clear is my advice.
The other thing is after 35 years of doctoring I’m fed up with people telling me their very boring trivial symptoms.
Now it’s my turn for some retribution . Hope you all don’t mind me asking a lot of questions about the car. I’m intending to go through the suspension renewing the bushes, shocks, springs etc, because it’s never been done. Also, have an annoying issue for the past 20something years with it nearly stalling from pick up.
First question... where do I get the Lemforder Mondeo drop link things?

Just to make you feel at home, how about you ask a question and we give you an answer in 6-8 weeks?

A few minutes on google found this: https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/lemforder-1262894.html

Probably worth trying google before asking on here.

Ask anything you like and whenever you like thats what the zone is for mate.
You may wish to put the engine question in the technical section , that way you may have more advice :D

Mart.

If you'd like to call at 8am, you may be able to get 5 minutes with an expert later that day. You may have to call circa 50 times to get through and if others have more important questions, you'll have to try again tomorrow at 8am.

 Welcome to the Zone. Minor questions will cost one signed sick note, more involved questions... still got your prescription pad?

That could be another emotional hang up. Doctors love it when you've diagnosed yourself online.

Love it. Keep the banter coming. Glad to say I wasn’t a GP.

Bought one of my best ever E30 bargains from a doctor at the local hospital. Only a 318i two door in black, but in immaculate condition, apart from an annoying hesitation on acceleration, which nobody had been able to cure, and the reason that no one except for me made an offer for it.
He could have mentioned that the wheel bolts were loose before I set off home, but fortunately the wheel brace was present in the boot.
One genuine blue temp sensor later (a shiny new aftermarket one was already in place), and the car ran perfectly.
