where do you buy paint?

As above, I'd like to touch up some areas in my engine bay. I think a rattle can or two would be enough.
Do I order from BMW, or is there any other options?

I use a bodyshop suppliers in Dundee called a.r.k.He will mix any paint code there and then in either tins or rattle cans.He will also colour match if you take the car or something like a fuel filler flap down.Prices aren't bad either .
Few sellers on ebay will also do rattle cans from paint codes .
I'd find a local suppliers and see if they can do the same .

Anyone want to guess the colour?
I'm at work at the moment - but I thought my car was Cirrus Blue ( Cirrusblau Metallic ) - but looking at the wiki it looks more like Glacier Blue Metallic ( Gletscherblau Metallic ) Guess I should check before ordering paint!!

Do you have the label on the strut in the engine bay, if not ping Cotswolds the last 7 digits of your VIN and they can pull up your spec sheet.

The paint shop I use told me that BMW factories that produced E30s each had two on site paint suppliers so on that basis, the only chance you have of a good match is to take a piece of the car to them to make sure it’s a good match. I usually take the filler cap flap to them.
You can get rattle cans or pots from a decent paint shop.

But which one of the factories and paint suppliers were used with your car is the question a good paint shop will address if you take the fuel filler flap.

Same, but for dolphin grey on my E30. It's in a non-Halfords branded can (Hayes, maybe?), but the match is pretty much perfect!

Seconded. My local paint shop in Rotherham is also great, slightly better pricing as they are local and I don't pay postage but they don't do online I don't think?
