Has anyone used one of these? I cant find much info.

I like my little M10...I've tried tweaking the timing both ways but always seem to get a bit of pinking especially at part throttle below 3k. I'm pretty sure it's not just me lugging the engine because it sometimes happens under very little load.
I find myself driving around it.

Maybe there's other issues, I'm about to change all my vaccum hoses and give it a good service.
But the electro dizzy seems like it might be a sensible upgrade after that.

They sound like a good idea in theory, but beware that some reports such as one fitted to a Volvo Amazon in Practical Classics magazine suggest they may perform worse than an original dizzy in good condition...

Cool thanks.
Another mag, Practical Performance Car put one in an MGB and got 7-8 bhp pretty much throughout the range. However, that engine had a fair bit work done and the stock advance curve was obviously not suitable.

That was also the Tune+ model dizzy which allows usb or bluetooth hookup for creating custom curves.
That's not available for injection M10's so you basically choose from a list of preset curves.

Would love to see one tested back to back with a well setup stock system.

Yep, you have to rely on at least one of the pre-programmed advance curves actually being right for your engine - which may not necessarily be the case...
