Does the Zone have a favoured gearbox go to guy for the Getrag 265 ?

Depends, geartech in thornton heath. Have mixed reviews about them.

Another place is in Bexley can remember the name ment to be good

What needs doing to the box as I had my auto box rebuilt by a guy in Acton who came recommended.

Doing a full rebuild, so ideally looking for someone with a good knowledge of the manual Getrag box.
The guy in Bexley sounds interesting, not least because he is local.

Kent Gearboxes near Brands Hatch are well recommended in M3 circles. He did my 265 but I've not used it since. He's an old boy who knows the gearboxes very well and loves a chat.

Hi guys trying to reheat this. I've got a dogleg 265/5 in bits that I want rebuilt. Are Kent Transmissions still trading? just tried number and it seems defunct. Any other reports of Geartech or the Bexley place... they're quite local to me so I'm keen on that aspect.

Missed the last post to this and just had the same problem, called today to hopefully drop the box of tomorrow and just a dead number.
