Topran isn't a brand as such. It's a label applied to parts bought from various manufacturers at the cheapest possible price, and because of this, some parts might be acceptable and others might be badly made rubbish.

I got one, it's been ok for 18 months now, paid about £65 from Euro.

At least BERU is a name, worth complaining? But like I said, no problems with mine.

Been having a search and they do seem ok. The dealers wanted £430 I just laughed.

At least you can get one from the dealer. Try popping into Vauxhall or Ford and asking for a heater blower for a 25+ year old car...

As I wrote in my last post, Topran are reboxed parts from various manufacturers, so it's possible your motor is both Topran and Beru, although I would have thought that an OEM parts supplier to BMW, like Beru, would be out of Topran's price/quality range.
