Worth taking day off for ACE meet?

I could take the day off to go down to the Ace Café if it's gonna be a bit of an event. Having never been I don't know what its like or if it's worth using a precious day off?? It's also a bit of a trek from Coventry but one I'm used to (my girlfriend used to live in Ealing)

What do you guys think?

I'd especially like to put some faces to the Forum names and I'd love to see an E30 with 3.2 M50B32 power if any are going??

What do you think? Wanna see my pretty face?

Yes mate head down!

Its my first meet there too. I'd say stay round mine but I got work the next day and cant take the day off since the Monday is my first day at the job.

Be cool if you could get Paul and Andy down too! Ryan maybe?

It will only take an hr+half or so.

I drive a filthy looking red 318is (I might even give it a wash if I decide to come down).

Nick: If you're working monday, when's the meet? Forgive my ignorance but I only heard about it today..If I come down I'll round up the boys (Andy might not be able to get day off) and bring some green

I'll think about showing face then...

Yeah should probably think about washin my car at some point too. Not sure shes deserves it tho!

The meet is in the evening of the last monday of every month as far as I'm aware. Gonna get there for around 7:30 ish I think.

I meant cant take Tuesday off since my first day at the job is Monday, so taking the second day of being at the place, off might not go down too well. Get me?!

This is a good meet ,always a decent turnout and a bit of cock action. The sight of Bharat doing doughnuts in his e36 is reason enough to go ! :) .
My dilemna is do i turn up in something proper ,or do i come in my 'congestionmeister' and show everyone my motorsport subframe mounts ? . Phil from CPC (Birds) is talking about cruising by in his chavalier diseasel, and Everett in his 730 ,maybe we could start a zone 'council chapter' ?

Hmmmm

If it's gonna be on at 7:30 ish, I could drive down after work. I work in Banbury so can hop onto the M40 and down all the way to the A406 Hanger Lane roundabout I think.. (if memory serves me well - that doesn't happen very often!).

Nick: You gonna be about to receive guests as soon as I hit London? Niel with be with me if I come from work..Perhaps Ryan and Paul will come to Banbury before we leave? I'll ask them.

Ian: Will it be OK to take a few pictures of the car and discuss how you got the engine in there? Perhaps a little ride to let me know what I've let myself in for winkeye ?

Anyway, see all of you soon by the looks of it: I'm a tall guy with a dirty looking 318is and probably wearing clothes from the office.

Looking forward to this one for a while now, the list is looking well impressive be good to meet you all. will be my first major meet on the Zone and at Ace:D
I take it this is german nite, so is it anything German or just beemers?

i think its usually a classic german night as the only other german cars I saw at a last one a few months back was a bunch of porsches and they werent the new variety either, goes as far to say there pobably the better looking ones too.

I'm planning to leave work in Banbury at 4:30. Might take an hour to an hour and a half Wont take too long to get down even if the traffic is fairly bad eh?.

If there's no-one about perhaps you'll entertain us Nick?

Won't be finishing work till about 5:30/6. In terms of entertainment, if you mean guide you to some local pubs then yep I can arrange that! Who's comin down?

Just me and neil I think.. Will ring ryan.

Gotta sort out some rear tyres this weekend to some down. One has got very naughty and dont want to get a pull if going to ACE. I imagine the police will be shit hot on rear tyres with people doing doughnuts etc...

Trouble is I'll have to get some crappy ones because tyre places round here wont stock any decent ones. AND I want to get some 16"s or 17" soon so will have to pay out twice! Might see if there are any part worns at that place. Bit of a crime to driving!
