For the last few weeks the brake lining light on the dash has stayed on! i thought that it could be due to some sensors on the brakes so i took off the wheels and had a look for any wires but could not find any! ialso made sure that the brake fluid reservoir was full which it was!!

could anyone else please point me in the right direction as to get this light turned off!!!

apart from.. remove the cluster and whip the bulb out.

check n/s/f strut for an electrical connection if it's not there it's likely it has been cut off (mines on and off all the time) and I believe there is on on the rear too

Dude I got the same problem. After the light came on, I had to take the car into the garage anyways as my clutch had gone (not related), I told the garage to check it out and they told me it was a faulty sensor. My brakes were fine. They actually cut the thing out to show me. I need to go about getting a new one but haven't bothered yet.

Not actually too sure where it goes or how I go about putting a new one on. But if your brakes are the same as they were then I should imagine its the same thing with regards to a faulty sensor.

Anyone know how to fit a new one? In my case the wires were chopped to free the sensor, can I just mate up the wires from the new sensor? How much does a brake sensor cost?

Dont know if I've been any help mate but hopefully someone will come up with some more answers.

Nick
PS. check the bulb too I guess

Could be a bad solder joint on the back of the dash... mine was!

Solder joint cracks, bottom left in the picture below, you can see it's cracked... Brianmoooore posted before about the 220Ohm resistor joints that need re-soldering, this was my problem. I have load of photo's from when i fixed mine a couple of weeks ago, I'll do a write up soon...
