Anyone have any opinions on strut braces? I've always thought they were a bit snake oil!!! Do they actually work and would you feel the benefits on a normal road car during normal driving?

We Use a sparco ( one piece twin tube)on our 318i cab, it does make a noticeable improvement, i also had a schnitzer 3 piece on my Tech1 S54, i can't say i see any improvement other than looking nice in the engine bay, i guess vanity got the better of me a˜‚.

Yeah avoid the ones with hinges - kind of defies the point really. Any of the rigid 1-piece ones should provide some benefit. Helps keeps the front suspension geometry in shape during cornering - probably more noticeable if you have stiffer springs/shocks as they would also put more load through the chassis.
