Hi guys. Has the red e30 sport on ebay been discussed on here? The one thats up for 7k? And can anyone confirm for me if a car is a genuine sport from the chassis number I have please. Does build sheet with mtechnik sportpacket mean its a genuine sport?

Went to look at that white one in cardiff other day. What a dog that was and isnt a sport
Cheers

The seller of the red car is a trader masquerading as a private seller. He is also known for being economical with the truth when describing a car . CAVEAT EMPTOR !

i didnt / dont think he is a trader, where did you get that information from? he has a few old school cars that he has had over the years. i have spoke to him, he has some lovely old motors. surely a trader would be selling newer easy sell stuff. well i can only go and give it a good going over and if its worth buying we will see. If i go over I sure hope it is worth the visit

He is a trader . He is selling a 318 Design convertible that is a rough old pig , that he bought for pittance within the last month from southern Ireland . His description is so far off the truth, it is scary. Googling his actual mobile number will bring up lots of recent cars for sale.

Obviously there is nothing wrong with buying things cheap and selling them for a profit :D BUT , when you can only make a profit by lying and cheating, it is more than a bit naughty. His description of the Design means I would take with a pinch of salt any description he gives.

Obviously if you go and physically inspect the car, and it is a hound, you have only lost a couple of hundred quid . Of course there is the very slim chance that it is a nice car ! :)

hmmm. i am planning on possibly going for a look soon. i just hope what you say is wrong. it seems pretty legit, original paint etc. i think he does buy and sell cars as he has an old e type jag up for sale. what can i be weary of from his description? what do i. need to make sure is good and what little bits can i leave slide? original paint, no welding and all problem areas mint sounds good. I just hope its not a load of crap or i will not be a happy bunny, i think it should be ok

I have not commented on the red Sport as I know nothing about it but what I do know is that he buys and sells lots of cars and is more than economical with the truth. As for a 25 year old 325 Sport in Northern Ireland having original paint, I think you may be very disappointed ! :o

Getting to his part of the world from the airport will be fun, unless he is kind enough to pick you up :)

After reading the comments on this thread I would give it a miss. Just be patient and find one a little closer to home.
