I need to find out a registered keeper address but all I have is the car reg and nothing else. How can I do this? I've been on dvla and it is sorn and was last mot'd in 2010, I know you can fill out a v888 to request info from dvla but don't know if they will give me the info as don't have reasonable cause? Thanks

You haven't a hope in hell with the DVLA.

What's the reg? Owner might be known on here.

Sounds like a little back door investigation.

Why would you like to know the keepers address?

Aide basically seen a picture of an m3 that's at the back of a garden and looks like it has been for some time, a quick dvla check revealed that the mot ran out in 2010, it also showed that it is a genuine m3 my thoughts are if the person was stupid enough to leave it there for that long in their garden that they will not know what it is worth and will sell it for the low, hence why I only have the number plate and nothing else, it was a picture I found and got in contact with the guy that posted it and he said that he saw it crop up on the internet but can't remember where from as it was a while ago

The only way to find out is via the DVLA and, as you correctly identify, you haven't got the grounds to ask. Don't blame you for thinking about it though, have done the same myself on occasion!

Lots of zoners have rotting turds in their gardens, it's not to say they are for sale or will be cheap”¦ Than fook for DVLA's policy :D

Thank goodness you can't get someones address from their plate, every time someone fancied your car they would know where to go and nick it from

If you (bothered to) look at his other pics, you would know he knows his cars...also, there are enough clues which make figuring out how to contact him easy enough...... It is not some old granny owner, so no chance of a cheap deal I reckon.
