Reminds me better go to the garage and see if mine is still there.
Still there , as if I'd go into great detail on here !

I hate car alarms with a passion. The first thing I did when I got my Touring was rip out the alarm and with Dan's help repair the wiring back to how it should be.

I have a couple of well hidden kill switches, a big metal steering lock and it's kept in a locked garage with locked gates in front of the garage with locked cars parked in front of them.

Also got a decent agreed value with the insurance in case any toe rag did nick it.

Thing is, if thieves really want something they will try everything to get it and risk getting battered or completely trash it if they can't!

Anti theft stuff only really buys time.

Unfortunately for me cars are more likely to get nicked from Plymouth as apposed to Bristol (which used to be car theft capital of the country) and I'm closer to Plymouth than I was!!

Make sure you have a proper agreed value insurance policy, shoukd the worst happen at least you will get fair value. I know some e30 sports with £20k agreed value policy, obviously tech1s being more desirable than the tech2. Lol

Living in Jersey FTW!

The keys are in my daily right now. Granted it's in an underground garage

+1

The way the modern stuff gets nicked is scary....

Break in the house nick keys, scare everyone wife kids etc ....

Stuff that....... Insurance can sort out the car theft but it takes a lot more to get family etc to sleep right knowing no ones breaking in again...

I'd still love to catch a car thief, breaking in to my car.... Oh the options!

Mr mooooooooorres fuel pump fuse blowing trick will hamper the joy riders but stolen to strip for parts has to be locked garage behind other cars.

Steve_k is over he top but I have though about it. Loosening wheel bolts will annoy a joy rider.
