E30 Zone

I'v seen a black E30 cabriolet local to me with an MTech 2 kit on it on a J plate.

The strange thing is, it's got a prefacelift rear, with the smaller prefacelift lights and not the same facelift lights like my H reg cabriolet.
Was there ever any J reg Black 325i Auto cabriolets with prefacelift rear lights?


I'm guessing it's a ringer?

I done a vehicle check on the car becuase I was so intrigued by it and found it was written off Cat C in 2008?


What's with the dodgy confusing history?

Magpies new cabby is the only h plate I've ever seen with the prefacelift shell. It's not beyond possible that one shell may have sat unregistered until the J plates were in place, but with a tech II kit, sounds iffy.

Might have been rear ended and they decided to fit a preface back end, I'd avoid.

Its probably a ringer as E30 convertibles with tech 2 kits attract dodgy types. There are plenty of H plate pre-facelifts

Pre facelift cabrios up to BUILD DATE sept 90, facelift from Oct 90.

H Reg from 1st aug 90 to 31st July 1991 the J reg from 1st sept 91.

Lots of H reg facelift cabs about, a hand full of late registered pre facelift H and J Reg cabrios.
