Has anyone else noticed there was a real frenzy on after xmas to buy e30s and e30 stuff......but it seems to have gone pretty quiet recently.
Not many 2 doors for sale on ebay much these days eigher.
Sport prices seem stable above the £5k mark now but some good money changing hands for mint original examples.
Almost like the market is unsure of the next move. Up ....... or Down.....
Any thoughts ?

Everyone has spent their Christmas money from Mammy & Daddy.
I normally find that the run up to Christmas and usually January is when the morsels appeal. People that are finding their finances squeezed let go of these little gems and certain *cough* perverts benefit.
Just the time of year, Spring is normally a good time for cars? Just my interpretation.

It's plateaued. The prices will only go one way as the model
Has too much of a following, but this may by at a slower rate. My opinion.

"cult classic" ...thing is if you like something and think it's cool then plenty of other people will/do

And plenty of people will also just think we're just pennyless losers driving "an old BMW"

Markets in general are slowing down. How much, if at all, it will effect the classic car bubble we are currently experiencing will be interesting to see

E30's 2 doors wont be going down as theyve been underpriced for a long time, too many survivers. A lot of E30 owners are under 40 and will always be into them. A lot of MGB owners are over 70 and will be dead soon. the market will carry on favouring 70's and 80's cult classics but money will start to pull out of mediocre 50's/60's cars and move into more usable machinery for the ipod generation. E34's are acceptable objects of desire for 15 year olds. Austin 7's are just weird. i think we'll find modern classics are the smart money. keep hold of any E30 cab or 2 door and it might be a slow rise but it will be a rise.
Slow down

If Beaker gets in to govt classic car prices will dive as will everything else as none of us will have any money and likley won't be able to drive them as his deal with the Green lunatics will get the "poluters " off the road . It will be like January - permanently!

There might be an interesting programme on tonight about what it may be like if UKIP came into power.

Well, if everyone votes right it won't be an issue. No point in voting Tory in Sheffield so I'll be going LibDem - they're not a bad bunch an they've kept the Tories in check.
Milliband is a bit of clown but he's harmless and he's probably alright down the pub when he's pissed. However, that c*nt Tristram Hunt is reprehensible and that slimy, vile little toad Chuka Ummunnummuunna - another 'lefty' in an £800 suit are far more worrying.

"Milliband is a bit of clown but he's harmless and he's probably alright down the pub when he's pissed" - He's a total communist and an academic , the worst kind. We all know that Communisim's the perfect solution except for when human nature gets thrown into the mix (after all what drives you to strive and make money when it gets paid to people who don't strive ?) , then it's doomed. Even worse he's Mclusky's stooge and wants us back to the union heydays which if you are old enough to remember nearly killed the UK.
You are bang on with "vile little toad Chuka Ummunnummuunna " though - he thinks the we should be more like the French ! Who, just happen to be economically F*cked now.

Milliband is not "alright", he's never got pissed or bought a drink in a working mens club in his life, if he came in my club he'd shit his pants at the un-pc ness of it, he's never had a classic car, he's never been skint, he's never binge drunk, he's never got lobster red on a beach in benidorm and shagged a heffer, he's no idea what drum and bass is, he doesnt even understand what a core labour voter is outside Islington and thinks anyone who does know the difference between assiago and Gran padarno is a retard and sadly its probably the case that if he and Chukka amunta get in they'll legislate classic car's "accidentally" to the preserve of the rich . still we can live in hope that some of the 3 million immigrants theyve let in to swing the vote might accidentally tick the wrong box. Milliband and his clique hate the E30 smoking old school labour working class like me because we're the past and the future is brighter and less polluting when we die out.

If all of the above represents you, then I'd gladly switch and vote for Miliband.
