The same as for any other E30 bonnet. It's the one panel that's common to all models.

No it isn't, this is M3/325e (think they're they same) bonnet insulation;

I paid £50 a few years ago, seen the fetch a little more than that but not much. It is NLA, unless they've added it to the list of things they're making again.

Ah, insulation, not installation. I did think the term was a bit odd!
Doesn't anyone on here actually read their posts after uploading them?

Does it actually do much?
Have been considering ripping all of mine off as its the foam type and has deteriorated.

I also do not understand the point in this, as it would just retain heat....?

Sound insulation.

I had to pull about half of mine off as it was in danger of hanging down onto the exhaust which did not seem a good plan. The result seems to be nothing more than a warm bonnet.

The replacement bonnet I have has no insulation on it at all.

E46 and onwards does without this it would seem? correct me if I am wrong.

I have no insulation, my bonnet is pink (should be red) from the heat.

Don't understand why people think it is desirable. Looks gash IMO, standard foam in good condition looks a lot better
