Christmas and E30 todo lists

So, apart from the Christmas parties, we have a couple of weeks off work before returning in the new year.

This allows for some E30 love time - provided the weather isn't too cold.

My plans are to finish installing my cabby interior, and replacing the wheels and tyres.

What are your plans? :)

That's a shame.. I wanted to get to know the real Gert! I'll be fitting new tires, perhaps a detail.. but that's me lot! I shall be too busy commemorating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! :)

Hey E30ers,

Mine is just going to get some general maintainence. Rust work, new brakes and tyres, replacing bushes here and there. Nothing exciting, still slowly getting on top of all the maintainence left over from the previous owner.

First big thing will be an engine and drivetrain overhaul followed by suspension upgrades. Knowing me, those two things will take a year or so each.

Cheers,
Bear

New water pump, thermostat and heater valve. Had them all for some time need to get motivated, waited 6 months for BMW to make some new heater valves. I put the slowness down to recovering from the price of the heater valve. 8O

Depending on which one has fuel in then all I'll be doing is driving it New Years Day morning for a blast round country roads.

Maybe ambitious, esp. with the cold but:

finish fitting body fixtures (lights, body kit, door latches, ariel, plates etc.)
fit wiring loom, removing PO's bodges and alarms - test body functions
fit sunroof
service engine (belts, coolant, oil, valve clearances)
refit inlet manifold + injectors
check engine runs/wiring + add in security features
fit dash
fit headlining, windows, front windscreen
fit carpet (through rear window opening)
fit rear window
fit door cards, seats, misc. trim
fit 067 steering rack (if time)
MOT

Apart from the sun roof and getting the wiring into the car, I'm too phased. Those two jobs really don't appeal though!

The never ending list....!

Finish welding front end (3 more plates!!)
Refurb front brakes
Paint calipers
Replace brake flexies and lines
3m flexible underseal front end
Repaint wing
Weld up and Repaint valance as req
Refit bits removed

Turn car round, cry coz how it's the back end to do!

Prob a good time to say thanks and merry Xmas to all that have helped with the problems and sold parts to me etc.

Ha ha. full english and that keeps me going all day.
No need for breaks, or lunch. :D
Trick is to empty out in the morning, get to the cafe, fill up, and you all sorted for the day.
Then repeat as necessary...

Most are if you can get away with it.

But I do alot of Age Concern work, and we have to keep costs down for the OAP's, but it keeps me busy.

If you remember, I did a bathroom for a blind couple who were ripped off by a cowboy.
A few members on here donated to that cause, as we charge 0% for the labour, and got some of the retail and trade outlets to donate too.
