I've got some parts taken out from an S14 2.3 engine build
Crank, pistons, cams valves, etc.
Also have original M3 instrument cluster and full leather bound manual.

What's it all worth?

I'd be interested in the manual.

Crank is about the only bit worth anything really, not much demand for used pistons or valves or cams if they are 195bhp stock items. I think the intake cam on some are different and maybe salable.
Maybe get the crank checked over and verified good or selling it on eBay just gets people low bidding on maybe get a jump of scrap. Why didn't you reuse the crank ?

Sorry had to wait until today to post pics....
I bought the engine from a mechanic at Munich Legends a few years back and had it rebuilt for the rally car.....

As I said all items had already been removed from the car so far as I know the dash is fine but its secondhand info...

Engine was increased to 2.5 and JCR supplied a new crank...

From that I assume that the log book is valuable? I dont want to get incvolved in anything that may or may not involve ringing so the reg paper will be marked up in ink to say the vehicle has been scrapped.....

I'd have to check but he did say it had had one done, he also oiled it and turned it over on a regular basis. Its a good engine now though approx 300bhp and loads of torque.

Because it's an engine designed to go racing with.

The 2.5 s14 can get close to 400bhp naturally aspirated but they need refreshing frequently

2.5's can be tuned to 300bhp with easy and are reliable enough to be bounced off the Rev limited daily

Andrew has a lot of technical info regarding the race engine builds

Several forum members have 275+Bhp s14's

Not sure where to go with this but how about

Crank saw one for sale on ebay Germany €889. How about £600 happily offer a refund if duff but it was taken from a good engine. As mentioned above Adam from Munich legends sold it to me.
Instrument panel £250
Wallet and manuals £50
Pistons con rods and all valves. £100
Flywheel and assortment of engine bolts £50
Plenum and inlet. £250

If this is now in the wrong section please apologies in advance.....prices are a pure guess so will take best offer received by end of the week. I'll not be offering anywhere else before then ......

John Cockburn. JCRacing built the engine without over stressing it to 300 he can get a lot more out but it would be a lot more fragile and would need a more experienced hand than me to drive it.

BMW 02 owners use the S14 2.3 cranks to increase displacements of M10s into 2.2l, I wonder if 2.5 cranks are useable?
