Floor Mats thread continued........................

Just to continue this in a constructive way, i've a set of 4 mats i would lend. They aren't the 6 pot carpet type as the 4 pot stuff used something different like the mats i have i think.
The heel pad is a touch worn as you can see but? I'd say this not to incite but they wouldn't look that bad without the logo as its quite small. I'd prefer with and made in west Germany on them too!
it would help if peeps stopped giving it the large one on this one no? As something good could come of it.

They are the 'country' mats, IIRC and the poncy velour ones are 'city' mats.

My 88 cabrio came with this type.
I think there were two or three different options. Hard wearing like yours, the velour type and a rubber version.
I would need cabrio mats if I am going to get some.

No, the two types were available concurrently. The 'country' ones are a lot harder wearing so I am sure more will have survived.
Obviously they are dimensionally the same and the heel pad is identical.

Simon - I can have them collected if thats cool.
I just need to take measurements for the CAD file then I want the mat makers to check their templets against them.
THEN the mould makers need to assess the material and relief of the heel pad.
PM an address and I'll have them picked up.
Just look at what could be!
Those went for £150.

Would be nice if some people could just stop using the zone as a playground and just let people they don't like get on with talking about cars and leave them be, sadly the zone is now just full of people wanting to fish for aggro or pick any hole or look for any negative they can
Sad for the zone , and would be great if these mats could be achieved
Il take some pics of my sets, the heel pad came in different colors aswell

Man that is exactly what I've been trying to say 0- you just said it in one simple paragraph.
Matz:
I think we'd only go with Black, Anthracite and Indigo. Seems to be no requests for Red, Beige or Silver.
The great thing about doing it this way is that the mat supplier can do any colour and the mould once made, they just squeeze in a new colour.
So maybe there can be one-offs...

Regarding logo usage, I'd rather take the risk. It can only really end in a cease and desist type letter anyway. So early adopters get the full monty roundel - late slackers get this:

Polsta, you like to throw your toys out of the pram all to often and you don't take to well to being corrects or advised
Everyone here has an interest in e30's and we all have opinions. Just because we don't all continually post just about e30's doesn't make it a play ground
The one time I posted an opinion about your gold wheels you went mental
Then when I corrected you on the waxes and sealants you pipped up and said I should go on detailing world. Little did you know that I use that forum and I'm also a professional detailer. Even then you still rubbished my post.
So, the mats. Yes it's a good idea but as per usual he managed to rubbish others input and thread turned to shit.

PLEEEASE lets just keep this thread about MATZZZZ!
Re the copyright business, no one has said a peep about the Stickers and Plates Pukar designs knock out and plenty of them bare the BMW logo.
Also, there are countless non official BMW things bearing the BMW logo on ebay.

The black carpets are a very dark grey.
The other grey is lighter, same as the new mats you pictured.

Aah. I ordered an Anthracite sample. Is there a big demand for the Schieffer / Grey? Seen a lot of it in E30s over the years.
I think the only realistic way this is going to happen is I front the mould and order some mat sets up front and just sell them to you lot at cost as and when you need them. If I wait for enough orders beforehand the cost will be silly or we'll be waiting forever. I'm not in it for the money. The price will be set based on a projection of what I think could be sold to other forums / clubs here and abroad.
This way, the mats for Zoners / early adopters could be capped at £80. Maybe less.
I'd probably order 30 Black, 20 Grey and 10 Indigo.
Beige was / is big in the U.S. There's also some red deviants out there.
All these colours will need original samples to get a colour match tho.
But I'm well motivated now so I'm going to press fire as soon as the CAD file is finalised. I've also isolated the typeface used for 'Made in West Germany' looks like a font I already own - result.
