i got my hands back on a plaque from a cecotto which i used to own, BUT its not numbered, it looks like the one shown as plaque5 in the to right of the photo in the following link, i have 2 questions were they all numbered, and what are they worth??

it came from my old car which was an import from germany. i have been told that bmw used to re-make them for you providing you had all the correct paperwork for the car, but they did not re-number them so i'm sure its genuine, it not a scummy fake with a vynal sticker, its etched or lazered in.

any ideas??

I've seen some numbered, and some not, so I wouldn't worry about it!

almost every one i've seen is numbered, but some bloke at donny thias year who is setting up a ceccotto register belives that some were not, and if you had them re-made they would not have been, but i'm not fussed it loooks nice and will come in handy!!

It's reputed that the ones not numbered relate to the 'Swiss batch', those being an order of Cecottos for the Swiss market produced after the intial numbered run. Spec is exactly the same but chassis numbers for the Swiss batch will not tally with recognized Cecotto VINs.
