Just wondering if any of the E30 lovers will be going to this show. It has been posted on other BMW forums and I thought Id share this all with you:

Location
North Weald Airfield
CM16 London, United Kingdom

Time: 8am

Date: 21st September 2014

The facebook details:

https://www.facebook.com/events/2370...37057/?fref=ts

So is anybody going to this ?

I have done a few google searches on this show and it seems a large number of the beemer guys go but did not see many e30's on coverage pictures over the past years.

I don't know much about this meet mate.

I am all new to this whole big shows and meets and stuff.

Why would zoners not go. Looking at the pictures on the site and also on facebook it most German cars come that's bmw, merc and vag.

It could be nice to go and see a sea full of old cars to new cars.

Why would zoners not be up for this ?

Because people are expressing themselves, most zoners frown upon anything against the norm or non oem.
I'd imagine not all zoners are like this but most are.
The facts are you won't get much response.
It's how it is round here.
Only certain meets and shows have a big following.
In some of the pics I saw,hoodies :D , stanced cars. 8O
Zoners wouldn't dare go there . :P :P

Are you joking, no way the zone can nto be full of individuals who only like oem. I mean there is nothing wrong with it at all but surely they would appreciate the time and effort on some of these cars which have been worked on and modified in their individuals ways.

I find there is nothing wrong with air ride and big wheels and all sorts as long as it fulfils the needs of the owner. I as another enthusiast can only look and appreciate other peoples visions and ideas.

strange that the zone do nto go to such meets as it would be good to all come as a force of some sort and just have a laugh and crack open a few bears and eat on some greasy burgers 8)

I'm very open minded, I love looking at modded turdz and laughing at how much the attention whore owners spend on sorry scrap , seldom to enhance or improve in the accepted sense of the term. Bring on the Pod ! :D

Nothing irritates me more than the sacrilege of teenagers attempting to improve Bavarian engineering with cheap tat and ebay alloys

I am sure there will be plenty of original OEM examples there too.

We must all stay clear of what irritates us but we also must have an open mind to where we can get together around more German cars and just have a good time.

Bringing the love of e30s closer is the way forwards but I guess im the only one thinking this way.

It would be good to see all of you with your e30s there. Have a few beers and a right laugh.

Kos - What time are you getting there and are you going with anybody? where will you be travelling from ?

I am hoping I get the day off so I will be able to make it there. If I do I will be leaving from Romford Essex

I think its just to be expected to see cars which attract your fancy and cars which you think are worse than dog poo.

I guess the aim for me is to just have a good ole brows, enjoy the sun if the weather holds up and catch some good conversations with the fellow zoners who come.

A sunday to which I am looking forward to.

How many zoners are going then ?
:P

I'll be going with a few lads from west London, including bhups, sunny83, Kangman, dips and a few mod his customers. Looking to get there for 8am to get a decent spot to park the cars all together

Nah, not playing that game of hoping that my car is "good enough" for them and paying a premium for hard standing

Rock up together and park up together

If I am there I will be sure to look out for you all.

So a few zoners will be there. It would be good if we could get allot more of us all to go that would be great along with a zone stand that would be good i guess.

Is removal of road springs a condition of entry to the show?

Shit show i thought, really let it go.

Some of the cars should be turned away at the gate, some of the cars parked far away in the car park should be parked in the show, ALOT of cars in the hangers shouldnt have been and the main outside parking noone could get out!

I must admit there was a range of different cars some to my tatse and some not but I guess that's to be expected.

A great turn out from everyone who was there really met some friendly individuals and a good afternoon it turned out to be if Im honest.

Glad i went. I would have liked to see more e30's but the few that were there did justice very nice.
