318is Oil

anyone know what oil would suit the 318is, been told its 10/40 part synthetic, just want to make sure.

According to the handbook which came with your car, 10W-40 is only suitable for use in winter in the UK (absolute max. air temp. 15 degrees celcius), BUT oils have come a long way since that handbook was written, and modern 10W-40 is absolutely fine.
