reverse lights

is the e30 318i manual reverse light switch prone to breaking down

if your talking about the reverse light switch thats under the gear gaiter then a possible yes as mine is gone!

the switch is screwed into the gearbox. isn't it?

no they are im living proof of it as mine have died cut the wires and tested them by shorting them together, reverse light comes on, connect to the switch nothing happens! had the same problem with my front and rear fog lights, turned out to be the foglight switch!!!

But yeah it's a piece of piss to get to, just take off the gear gaitor and it's under there.

yeah shouldnt be a problem, just remove your gear gaiter and the switch plug is right there i've just bought a replacement off Zayyan so I'll let you if my masterplan works!corky wrote:is it easy to get to as need to sort for my mot
