That's got to be the worst ever e30 roof rot out there.
A couple of tubs of p40 and some old cardboard should fix I think

Dairyhouse Road. I live round the corner.
It even features on streetview:

The owner apparently died a while back (about 10-15 years ago) and the family don't want to sell it.

That sill has totally rotted out to, normally you only see rot like that when it's been left in a field or something, not normally that bad on a hard standing.

I'm sure his ceiling and walls are completely dripping... that's some horrific rot - ok i'll bite: how in fuck's name does a roof get THAT bad?

You can see the hole in the roof on streetview

I enquired about buying it a few years back and that's the story I was told

Hope the roof looked a bit more presentable when you were enquiring ;) Or were you looking for a four-door vert

Wonder what the floorpan's like? With a hole that size in the roof, the carpets will be sodden, and they hold water like a sponge.

I was going to build a one-off moredoor that even Pete would of been proud to own
It looked better but still needed lots of bodywork. I mainly wanted it for its engine, I think its got next to no miles on it

That's because it is sponge!

I was gonna enquire for jim320i but won't bother em now. I wonder if it would actually survive being moved in one piece now...

I think it would probably disintegrate if moved
I asked a few years ago, they might get rid of it now?

Yeh i guess...having got closer I'm not sure I actually want to lumber Jim with it

It really is a shocker
Drivetrain sounds like it's probably worth having though.

There are few 'driveway casualty' E30's around Derby, have you seen the blue tourer down by the Derby royal, right on the Crossroads..? L plate, 316 manual I think.
I know of a Polaris 323i 1985 with LSD (according to the factory spec) near me and there is also a 325i Mtech 1 in Castle Donington, but Kedge knocked on his door and was told to f0000k off!

I've seen the one near the royal, think there were 2 at one point.
I've had quite a few people knocking on my door too

ross that m3 looks a bit poorly. I wonder how far the rot goes into that scuttle. A moredoor with naff wheelz is one thing, but that definitely needs saving.

That's the only visible rust, it's quite tatty and you can bet there will be a battery tray/bulkhead delete minimum. 65k and grey leatherzzzz, sadly it's RHD (Birds conversion iirc). Woman owns it, never drives it and thinks it's worth a fortune

she bought it for somewhere in the region of £2500 from a main dealers when they were at rock bottom.
By coincidence her brother was one of the removal men when I was moving a few weeks ago and we got chatting about e30's when he saw mine in the garage. He seems to think she might accept an offer of around 10k.
Only other picture I have of it

This Turd needs to be saved Ross

I've tried in the past, a friend offered £8k for it 5 years ago. Honestly the rot would put me off, it's going to need a new bulkhead minimum. And then you are left with a patched up RHD turd with the last 8 years of history missing for your £20k
If I was in a position to buy I would break it sadly.
