Hi all abit of a random question im going to buy road tax for 6 months for my car as I need it as soon as possible I was wondering wud it be better for me to get it now as its the end of the month or early next minth n shud I get It online or at he poooffice lol

Beginning of next month, online or post office. If you get it now you will lose a month of tax.

Be careful that you don't get done for no SORN!
These are not transferable with the car - you need to declare a new one in your own name.

These days,you can only tax an un-taxed car 2 days before the end of the month at the PO.If it's already taxed,you can re-tax it up to 14 days before the end of the month....
On-line,you can only tax from the 1st of the current month,unless you are re-newing a currently taxed vehicle,when..etc..
As Brian pointed out,if it's not sorn'd in your name,you will be liable for tax from the date you bought it.

Unless it's been off the road before 1998 and therefore never SORN'd in which case you don't need to SORN.

October, you won't get a disc and you can pay monthly...

I'm going to leave my old tax discs in the window come October, it will be strange seeing old dates in the window
