Another non 'Motorsport edition' advertised as one......

Why do so many people advertise their convertibles as 'Motorsport Editions' when they are just 325i Convertibles with an M-tech Kit.
I am not talking about genuine Macau/Sebring/Nogaro/Calypso/Mauritius cars, but all the other stuff I see advertised as genuine 'Motorsport Editions'
This one for example...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123
Although, since I e-mailed him, he has removed 'Motorsport Edition' from the main text of the advert.
When I had mine, I once met a lad who had a bright red 1987 convertible with black leather and an aftermarket Tech 2 bodykit... who had paid a massively inflated price for what he was told was '1 of 250' motorsport editions - I just couldn't force myself to spoil it for him, but I cringe for people that get suckered into this.
Even some owners of genuine motorsport editions wont have it, that in total 590 UK cars were built (in varying colours and specs)....
Anyway, rant over.......
