No...the bodies are the same...and yes, you can stick a kit on....I would just wait a bit, keep looking, and one will turn up in your budget...

As long as you buy a facelift car, you can fit all the Mtech2 bits.
As a long time Sport owner, I don't see the point in spending £10k on low mileage car that you won't want to use. I'd rather buy a decent 325ise and use and abuse it.

My thought exactly. I want a project really but if I can get a short cut it's the easy way

Now that IS worth paying decent money for and using occasionally...but then its got to be maintained at that level..

That really makes me want to lavish attention on mine now!

...I am going to strip it, tend to EVERYTHING, then store it in the garage and save for sunny days!

....so, that means I will have to buy a SECOND E30 which I can rag on a daily basis!..lol

And just to pick up on this point...sticking an M30 3.5 in a Sport is acceptable?..I wouldn't do it to my current car...BUT...if i bought a second E30 then that would be something I would consider...in actual fact, that would form the bare bones of the B6 3.5S replica I dream about...but then that would be a SECOND car I would have to save for rainy days?!...this gets worse and worse...so, in actual fact,I can't have an E30 as a daily driver!!??....

I am realising now, just how special E30's are....irrespective of what they may or may not sell for...

Well it depends on the Sport you fit the M30 to. If its a low owner low mileage car then you will kill it's value.

I've seen a couple of Sport shells for sale...£300-£500..I suppose it could be worth stashing one away...for the future...
