e30 m3 Germany paperwork

hiya all trying to trace some history for my m3 from germany the car was imported to the uk in 2008 since it lived a fair bit of its life in germany whats the best way about tracing paper work etc can i contact my local bmw would they have any contact numbers at germany etc

I would not bother. Do you really want to know that it has been reshelled from a 316 and left Germany with 300,000 KM ?
