My E30 is back on the road! :)

After 15 months being a driveway ornament, my E30 passed it's MOT first time with no advisories today! :D

I had to clean the rust off the brakes and change the pads all round as they were pretty low and as a result of some trackday abuse the pad material had cracked. Add over a year of rain, rust had crept under the brake lining and split it free of the pad backing plate! 8O

I also had to rebuild the drivers seat using a very decent condition passengers seat base frame as the original one had cracked clean through on both sides. Now it's the tightest non sloppy E30 seat I've owned, well worth the hours tinkering.

I've now got until the 8th to bed the brakes in properly and give it a service before the Raw Motorsport / Ergen Motorsport trackday at Castle Combe on the 8th. Can't wait!

Oh and something i hadn't realised til I saw the logbook earlier... I've owned this car for 9.5 years now, about 8.5 years of that having the M30B35 in.

Oh and no pics til it's had a clean... it's embarrassingly matt white at the moment!

Does look pretty much like this, just a bit less shiny!

Well after a weekend with T-cut, wax and polish... It's shiny again! First time it's looked so loved in a few years.

Oil and filter this week then it's getting half stripped out and coooonted round Castle Combe at the weekend
