'Flat' black is indeed very rare on an E30... Very rare that it will look good or be done properly!

Shame they didnt supply a rack for your luggage, so guess the extra doors will help with loading in the back a˜Š

Looks like satin black that's been polished/ lacquered.

Could be wrong though.

It will be 'glans schwartz' which is straight non metallic gloss black. The Chinese do not pay extra for metallic finishes so it was a smart move by the original owner :)

Flat black, not matte black. Flat black = non metallic. If its on swapz it will most likely be a dog though.

The un-obvious rust! Hidden in the inner rear arches or under the front footwell carpet for example.

I can't see the pics properly on my phone, but are the bottoms of the front wings a different colour to the top? Looks like they've been painted with the same paint as the sills??

Nice MR2 btw 8)

Cheers mr2 is nice but only got 2 seats :(
Always liked the e30 miss the last 1 I had
Had an e36 cab a little while back but got to wet
Looks like the bottom of the wings are stone chipped or mat black will have to ask before I drive 50 miles to look thing is sellers nearly always lie about the condition of their car dont know why as if its sh@t I wont swap and well have both wasted our time and petrol

I would not bother seeing it. You can see stone chip on the rear arches as well which means its been used to cover up rust.

I don't know much about MR2s, but I suspect he would be getting the better end of the deal if it was a straight swap!

Can't see an mtech2 front bumper in the pics.

£2k will buy a decent E30 (which may need a bit of tidying, but nothing serious) unless you're looking at Sports. A tidy 325ise is a nice place to be and won't suffer the Mtech Sport tax.

A guy at work has some mates who have picked up E36 325i and 328i for well under £2k (the 328i was through swapz for a Civic iirc). Both decent cars, although the 328i had headgasket issues... hence my comment above.

red silicone samco rad hoses - Not much to comment but does sway towards the chavs.
powerflow exhuast...kind of loud - Powerflow are over priced for what they are, do nothing performance wise. Just "look nice" and "sound nice".
k&n induction.....sounds real smooth and clean - Again does nothing performance wise. I bought an E30 with an induction and it ran so much smoother after putting the standard factory filter back on.
chipped by end tuning - Don't know much about chips.
17inch oz dish alloys - Ruins the handling on an E30
m tec2 front bumper and spoiler
brandnew nankang tyres on rear 2 weeks ago - Budget tyres
momo steering wheel - personal preference, but favoured for the chav
lowered 30mm
it has a fast road clutch and drilled discs. - Would have thought a "fast road clutch" would give no gains and just fail faster than one of OE quality. Drilled discs on an E30 do nothing but again will "look nice".

There's nothing wrong with doing whatever you wish to you're own car, but when it comes to selling (or swapping) it; with the above sort of spec its never inviting.

Specific to the E30, the above shows a lack of knowledge to the charateristics of the car, and just going through pages of Max Power, ordering shiny things.

If I were to buy that I certainly wouldn't be parting with £2000... more like sub £500. But as mentioned already with various patches of additional stone chip on arches and sills it might be better off in china..

Just because a car is matte/flat/satin black does not always mean it's been painted with rattle cans,

You never heard of the 50 dollar paint job (Google it), you can get some very good paint jobs using a radiator roller & to finish use a HVLP sprayer, a mate of mine did his mk1 transit in this way & the finish is spot on, even though it was done on his drive out in the open.
