It might sell but it probably won't be driven which is the problem with these high end classics its all about the investment not the enjoyment.

No!
Even if I had a spare £85k I would not be spunking it on a single car.
Could buy three or four epic cars for that!

£85k
£20k CS
£30k CSL
£3k E38 750iL
£9k E39 M5
£18k 996 Turbo
£5k E30 325i SE Manual LSD
Or maybe I should swap the bottom four for a brand new shape 12 month old 62 Plate Porsche Boxster Manual with LSD, BOSE, Heated Seats, Sat Nav, Sports Exhaust, PASM hmmm

Fook! I can't really see what's so special about the cs model to be honest

Manual CS is pick of the E46 M3 range IMO
There is a CS with slightly lower mileage than mine but SMGII retailing now at £28k
Make of that what u will!

I would not be paying a premium for a CS over a normal M3 as in reality you get little else extra and nothing that isn't easily retro fit able.
Ponys car does have the cache of being one of the last registered E46 M3 coupes though and is one of the best condition ones I have seen to be fair.

Thanks Barry is actually the last registered M3 CS for the UK and the only one on a 56 Plate. I have a letter from BMW UK confirming this

With £85K burning a hole, your misely £18K budget for a 996 turbo is hardly going to yield the best of the breed...
Ditch the E30 and E38 and put the cash towards a 'nicer' 996 imo.....
