Thinking of selling my Alpina C2 27, It is a regretable decision but now it is becoming a garage ornament and also you just carn't leave these cars anywhere in fear of anything happening, Don't really know what to ask for it, It has an agreed valuation with the insurance which I won't say what that it. I just wanted to know what you guys think?

We think you should tell us what the agreed valuation is, and see if we agree!:)

You'll need to provide a bit more info:
Age, mileage, spec, 2dr, Moredoor, Touring, Alpina trinkets, history, pics
Basically, write a for sale ad!

Well the car itself is a Delphin grey coupe, mileage is 1750000 but had a total rebuild at roughly 1700000 with all the pics to prove, has full re-trimmed black leather, 6 branch Alpina manifold etc etc. It was at Gaydon and Santa Pod,but don't know how to get pics on here lol Can anyone tell me? I will do a proper write up on this there is loads more.

look forward to getting the pics, but not always the best time of year to sell around November - end of Jan. i'd be inclined to market it next summer, money should be strong if its a good write up with decent pics.
what year is it - is it manual, how original is it?
there is one of classic heroes with half your milage for £16k which I think is too much as couple of zoners went to look at it when WLN had it and didn't rate it.

It is a 1989 I'm the fourth owner,it is manual and it is all orignal total rebuild inside and out. Since the rebuild in 2010 it has done about 6000 mile on a total rebuilt engine which cost £3000 and gear box which cost £600,underneath is just as clean as the outside.[/img]

Can fully appreciate that. I had a low mileage/original panels and paint rs500 and taking it out was getting to be a nightmare with lots of idiots about.Just one in the wrong place would have meant the originality gone forever
Good choice with a Sport though

...but you may well find you get obsessed with that as well!?

umm I like that a lot, and i'd be interested if I was cash rich which im not
however I do have pretty good 1990 sport which just had an inspection 2, and some new parts. body work wise its quite good although I haven't had the panels off.
if all goes well it be going down to Barry's end of Jan to get the kit taken off, waxoiled and the suspension refreshed. Barry said there is 3 tiny bits of rust but scuttle and arches are strong
if you still have your car come March would you be interested in cash plus my sport, its manual, 123,000 miles and in lovely granite silver

Wln was asking 9k for his with leather and air con, plus 90k mileage.....but an auto does not interest me in the slightest no matter how nice and original. On the flip side now classic heroes is asking 17 k for it which is just plain silly when you can still get a decent e30 m3 for 25k with maybe a little higher mileage. But give me a dogleg manual m3 over an alpina auto any day of the week.
