Sure does I'm afraid. The roof rust alone would kill it for me. It's worth keeping an eye on the small ads though as good shells do still surface particularly in poverty spec auto form.

F**ked roof and rear end by the looks of it, a reshell would be easier but they are thin on the ground now. Scott is selling his I believe, although its a left hand drive the shell is immaculate

C'mon Daz, whats the matter with you?? Christ my Touring has fist sized rust holes in it , it is nothing that can't be sorted. Even my Transit has some nice gaping holes, few plates, bit 'o MIG job done. :D

i would grind the roof back first to see if its rusting from the inside. Then have a look at all the other bits. The other bits look repairable but if the roof is shagged its not worth it.Too many repairable cars being scrapped now in my opinion.

Definitely too many going in the bin, but when the average joe cant use a welder or afford to pay someone to do a decent job (which is a minefield in itself) its no wonder most cars are getting broken for spares

true, just a shame that when people want to restore them they will all have been sent to china. If you look in any classic car mag the state of old ford or leyland stuff that people start with and end up with nice cars.I suppose its a double edged sword that they arnt seen as classics so remain cheap to buy.The price of escorts etc is unbelievable for what they are.

sadly its a financial decision more than the amount of work
reality is it wouldn't take that much effort to fix the arch and other bits

but I also got sacked yesterday so financialy im in the shit right now plus have to move within 3 weeks and as yet have nowhere to go, if it wasn't for this I would be keeping her and sorting it all out,but sadly without the cash no can do :(

i had holes in both foot wells, both rear arches into the boot and have now had them fixed and wasn't that expensive, i also have rust all over my roof and that will be getting cut out and welded etc. If you love your e30 then don't give up on it! They are getting rare

I don't see terminal case, looks salvageable- just sit on it until finances improve and fix a bit at a time??

Love a bit of SD1, is it the V8, it better be!

I had a V8 VDP, lasted a week before the auto box blew

Also a had, many years ago a 2600S rotten as a pear, but great fun :D

This is the 26, i've no pic of the VDP..........

And yes, I was living in the caravan behind it, the Rover had no tax, test, insurance, docs 8O wouldn't get away that kind of naughtyness these days!

What are your plans with yours?

Ah nitro, i've seen you at lydden hill (i thiink), if it was you, that rover is coooool (dare i say it!)

As for rotten shell issues, its hard to find clean ones, i know, i'm looking. Finding a decent welder person is harder still, or at least someone you can trust to do the job properly.
