It does only have 20k on it..... big monies but you'd pay more for a new corsa Sri. Most expensive one I've seen, other than mine which owes me £kkkkkkkkkk lol. I'd still have an m3 first though.

What would you do with it though. Drive it! Not much i would expect. Looks a corker but i doubt i would enjoy owning it much.

Collector would most likely buy it, you'd just be pouring money down the drain if you drove it everyday.

You would be burning your money away, for every extra mile minus a £1

thats a rediculous price.. id rather have as many 100k+ mile E30's as humanly possible for the same price.. id probably end up with 10-15 E30's then, oh the fun i could have with that many.. winkeye

A friends uncle had one from new, hardly ever drove it only had 14k miles always sat in the drive or garage ended up rusting away, while I was on holiday they ended up scrapping it.

My friend told me the arches where rusted through.

Shocking but not uncommon

There was a Tech 1 in Scotthall Sterling corner on display with 3900 miles. It has electric rear blind, black leather, car phone, aircon electric roof.

a friend of mine owns it, you have to see the car to believe it...it's astonishing,

you could restore an already high miles 4k turd for probably 10k ? and it will never ever come close to looking as good as this car does,
he's in no rush to sell and is considering putting the price up :D

The 325is is stunning!!

What did the electric rear blind come in? Obviously not peasant wagons like tech 1's!?

I know that car, it was on display upstairs in the dealers for about 2yrs, they look after(store it for the owner) its still there but not on display! They done a full resto on it and its flawless, a proper time warp machine. Cars like that with low owners, low miles and any work done by reputable garages with full documentation will and deserve to command top dollar price tags!

I'm astonished at the quality of the "Recaros"

Like Topless i too know the owner. It has recently sold for the full asking price, not to a collector either, somebody who's going to use and enjoy it.

Is it worth 16K, looks like it. :D :D

According to dvla there are only 12 1986 sports left, 6 are taxed.

Posted: Wed Jun 26, 2013 4:02 pm
by ajay
What about 1987-88. The last Tech1's were registered in 88 i belive.

Re:

The dvla data is notoriously unreliable. Huge numbers of sports will not have 'sport' anywhere on their v5 document and will have been registered just as bmw 325i

Re:

Posted: Wed Jun 26, 2013 4:35 pm
by pony
Mine has Sport on the ownership document

Maybe u are referring to replicas ?

Re:

by harry_p
No. the registration document will only show whatever the person who filled in the forms at the dealership to register the car put on them.

Lots of sports will not be registered as sports.

Lots of non-sports have 'sport' on the v5 after someone at some point has written it in to help try and pass their car off as genuine (most of these are in birmingham :) )

Every E30 in bham is a sport even the 316 moredoor. If your willing to believe it, they are willing to sell it. Lol
