Once the car is warm im sliding where ever possible. round corners
through roundabouts anywhere.
Am i nuts or do some of you do this as well ????

if its quiet and wet (most days up here ) i get the back out coming out my mates street when i pick him up for work, and again coming off a roundabout just leaving town, its a good exit angle for it

If its slightly wet / damp first thing in the morn, i get the back end out four times every journey to work lol.

An yes my tyres are getting lower and lower lol, inresistable to me however

every chance, no matter what car. depends how you mean with drifting though? a lot of people probably do a little bit of a arse end step out pullin out of junctions etc

Never in winter because my car is in bed! I have a mpv to use in winter but come summer when I get my cab out, its every corner!

I can't drift safely in the dry on public roads, to overcome the rear grip in my 323i requires more than the little power it has so I would have to be very committed to the drift and carry considerable speed which wouldn't be safe on public roads.

In the wet it is different, it is reasonably safe to use the power to get the back out around a few corners and intersections if there aren't many cars around (or any near where I will be sliding). Probably not a "real" drift though, more of a powerslide. I wouldn't like to try a "real" drift on public roads because that requires setting up the slide before the corner and then I am committed to a certain line and I don't think that is a good thing on a public road where things can change unexpectedly.

i wonder how many ppl actually do slide.

ive followed numerous ppl who when u get to ur destination say "did u see me sideways etc etc" and 99% of the time the answer is no u werent sideways at all.

I cant properly drift (go sideways in excess of 2 meteres) properly anyway and I dont really try this on public roads.

I dont really care if I trash my touring but I am more worried about other road users.

Flickign the arse end out on the M5 while accererating out of a round about or corner is something I do now and then but its nothing dramatic or hazerdous to road users.

Proper Drifting on roads is not a good idea.

everywhere possable for me to! and in my work van but only in the wet as it dont got a lot of power lol. there aint many better feelings than looking out your side window on a nice roundabout

We had a GT race here at the Bahrain International Circuit last weekend, and i drive for a company who import Caterhams, so we do hot laps and driving tuition etc for corporate days, but at the GT race we were taking paying customers for laps of a track we set out with cones on a asphalt car park, normally quite boring, but this year they changed the racing slicks for normal road tyres and we were instructed to slide em about a bit, now that was great fun, 9:30 - 17:00 in the car and spent 99% of it on full opposite lock and a few donuts for the lads thrown in for good measure, happy days!!!

i can drift off to sleep at any given moment usually between the hours of 8 and 5 does that count

It's not a good idea on the roads as already mentioned, but I don't always do what I'm supposed to do....

In the wet, pretty much every roundabout, dependant on passengers!

Dry, less regularly, ruins car/tyres!

Great fun, but keep it at Silverstone, as Josh said, too many spankers!

Ive not quite mastered it in my 3-series yet, despite it being my 3rd. I suppose that it would be best to hold it in 2nd, being an auto 325.

In my works Sprinter van, it all happens so much slower and relaxed, I find it easy to do it in that (well, get the back end out, not exactly drifting). Maybe the longer wheelbase helps?

IMO I'm not that good at drifting but I can get it out and keep it there for a bit just lacking power and refinement of steering lmao!

I do it a bit.But nothing major. My is can only just about keep it on a tight roundabout for one complete turn before my budget susspenion and lack of power step in. The old slags getting tired now, trying to keep her happy and lay off the caining

pretty much everywhere where theres no pedestrians or parked cars to be honest.... in the dry though i tend not to as much these days as the tyres wear very quick!!!
