I've seen some crimson leathers on eBay, just wondering what you guys think they're worth. I by no means think they're worth the £950 asking price, but I'm curious.
Also what are peoples opinions on how they'd look in a Sterling Silver car?

With a good clean up and colonising I would imagine they would look quite special in any colour car.
Are they worth £900+, well thats up to you to....

love a set myself, worth is subjective though bud you know that, they are rare don't often come up as a set like those in the link. but when you consider grey leathers fetch about 250-300 max, its painful to add on another 600 for a colour, but then find another set.
if i had some dough spare id be looking at £700 the lot (which is what they are worth to me) very nice though.

I was thinking of a cheeky offer of £600 and see where he goes from there. Dilemma is, it puts the respray back yet another month.
Thing in the back of my mind is if I got a cheap cream or grey set, I could get Mr Ravioli to have them dyed

Not a bad idea......get the card done the same time to match.

A respray you can buy any day of the week, these you can't. If you want them, buy them, in the end it will be £500 on top of the price of the car if you have to buy a leather interior set anyway. Only off putting point is the door cards...big plus is it comes with the carpet. Go and see them, take cash, haggle what you can, don't send him a cheeky offer.

Purely subjective, £950.00 no way, personally £500 or a tad over tops.

your the last person to ask as your so tight you wouldn't even pay me £30 for a original red shelf with un butchered speaker holes
Managed £15 as a best offer
All i'll say is find another set?
I paid £650 for my set about 3 years ago, I got seats, shelf and door cards. I don't have the front speaker grills or carpet but ive got a black carpet with I think I prefer
my set needs work and is by no means perfect

Why are they so rare? Not an "in" colour at the time?

I would have a set recoloured, it'll look better, newer, and nowadays, most dyes last when done correctly.
Or if you have the "Dollar", buy them.

This. They are rare for a reason. "In" colours in the 80s were beige, Grey and Black. Blue was not popular either, although many specced it in white convertibles with a blue hood strangely. Red red was even less popular.
Si knows my thoughts on red.

I'm afraid I don't see the attraction. Best left as crushed velour in some low rent yank.

It's a zoner selling them, the same seller who sod Simon his red interior.
Crimson is even rarer than cardinal as it was made for a shorter period.
Re-dyed interiors don't compare to original.

Lol, Simon, original shelf , check, faded, check, no rear blind, and £30.00, no thanks, just fabric dyed my grey shelf to red in the end, spot on match.
Ofcourse you prefer the Black carpet, Shak wouldn't sell you the red one, lol
As for finding another, have a Crimson M3 interior and a cardinal sport interior sitting in the garage, and I paid no where near £950.00 for either, hence my 2pence about the value.
Yes, you paid £650.00 for yours, which I thought was a lot of money, as the rear headrests weren't even the originals and a different shade to the seats!
