Well, I've started the laborious task of stripping the underside of my car. I'm using my grinder with the flapdiscs and twisted wire wheel, which seems to do a decent job. Just wondered if anyone has any tips and tricks for getting into the tight spots where the grinder can't reach? I have a small Dremel drill but it's more suited to craft and hobby work. I'll buy a bigger version or some other tool if needs be. Any recommendations?

You trying to take the under seal off? Nitromoors it and leave it to soak in then scrape it off

Heat gun and a paint scraper. You'll go through a dozen wire wheels on a grinder, and flapdiscs will thin the metal if they're fresh.

I did buy a blowtorch thinking about burning the sealer off but maybe that's a bit agressive. I've ordered some Nitromors so will see how I get on with that. Think my neighbours will appreciate the quieter approach :D

Magpie, I've got some wire brush attachments for my drill, but even using them on a mains drill doesn't seem to be tough enough compared to a grinder. Hopefully the chemical method will make life easier.
