I used e-tech silver, wasn't bad if a little thick, though I imagine it has to be like that due to the properties of it. However no idea what it would be like in gloss black, as I left it for more of a matt finish

Por15 is not a finished material, it's for rust. The engine enamel comes in many colours. I done my block in the stuff and it keeps its finish well

I paint calipers for a living. And when i first started i use to use proper caliper paint. It very runny, takes ages to dry ad after 5 layers of paint you still need more.
Now i use hammerite smooth. Good range of colours, quick dry and its thicker and its a metal paint. Very good stuff
