E30 Zone

Bought my 325SE last year and its as most of cars this age it needed a little attention from bits of rott and scabs in the usual places. Decided to treat it to a full touch up spray with a guy I know but sent it to my best mate Matt for the prepwork, -the only man I will comfortably let work on my cars!

Fair to say hes smashed it, check out the pics! Thought some of you might be interested if your round Manchester way! He takes real pride in his work and has a particular soft-spot for the e30.

Doing a couple of folds with a metal brake isn't that complex. Welding them up flush to the bottom of the wing and grinding them flat without distorting the wing is the real skill, which this guy seems to have loads of.

Yeah but a perfect ready made section with the holes etc , would probably work out quicker and cheaper for people to buy and have ready , for their man to just weld and prep, and a good earner for someone with the skills to just make a batch all perfectly ready

Especially for Convertibles and to that standard.

would be great to be able to save proper geniune wings just by replacing the bit that rots than have to chuck the whole thing away and try and find a non rotten one or fit a poorly fitting pattern part just because the bottom has rusted.

Make em out of alloy with some kind of glue strip and you'd clean up!

Yea Matt really knows his stuff and is very reasonably priced, Definately rfeccomend! Il ask him about doing the sections too!

Sanded it all down, sealed and primered too

but what about above ? although a good repair, im amazed the wing wasnt taken off and a proper inspection

all of it was treated mate If i had enough money I would pull every wing off it and have a good look but until then we do what we can!
