Any leads appreciated no matter how far away (I'm in the UK).
Thanks

At least the Baur does not have bits of Golf attached to it !
PS I believe a Dutch company cobbled up a few in between making clogs and sticking their fingers in leaking dykes . When you see one, you will realise why cannabis should not be legalised

I was considering building one last year but to do it right moving the pillar, taking out the rear pillar etc etc was way beyond my skills

Now that just isn't true is it, I've seen pictures of at least a couple of dozen different ones and they don't look very bodged to me.
I'm fully aware that BMW did not make such a vehicle for public sale.

Shall I start a new thread asking what people's opinions are of the conversion? You can discuss it there, because with respect that's not what I've asked. If your suggesting I'm ploughing an old furrow I'd respectfully suggest you read my original post.
Peace.

It'll be great to see the couple of dozen pictures you've seen of these cars, any chances of links.................
As for buying one you've got as much chance as a 4 door 320 auto been the most popular car on the zone.
I wish you luck, your gonna need it.................................

Dips , the alleged owner of one of said contraptions will undoubtably be along shortly with some grainy pics of a sorry old snotter for you to abuse yourself over.
You could always contact him directly and you can rim each other silly while discussing perspex side windows, MK 1 Golf tailgates and P40

Thanks for all the good luck wishes! You are all so nice. This place really does need the warning when you log in. Lol
After just a couple of posts on the thread someone knows of one, so it's worth putting up with all the pointless posts from people with really no reason to be interested.
Peace

Have you ever seen one to actually make an informed & educated assessment of the car ?

A number of E30 2-Door Tourings were built in a BMW factory - they were the original prototypes that led to the mass-produced four door version. The only RHD one in existence is owned by Dips, and there are three in the Netherlands that I am aware of.
They pre-date the production touring by a few years. For info on the First Touring, check the Wiki:

Paint it black and stick a coffin in the back.

Most of the 'couple of dozen' pictures you have seen are photoshops, which is why you think they look good...

None of the 3 door turds that exist were built by BMW. Most if not all are the work of a Dutch coach builder and utilise a MK1 Golf tailgate .
