Any ideas tips on how I can polish up my inlet/intake manifold or even how much it would cost to buy?
Thanks

I've done my inlet, TB and AFM. I started with a wire brush on a dremel and then rubbed it down with increasingly fine wet & dry, from 12 to 2000 and then finished with a fine wire wool. It's not a mirror finish but it looks very nice.

Great! I will give that a try! Any ideas if polishing compound would give it a mirror like finish?

It's not a mirror finish! It bloody is! Lovely work.

I've sent my inlet off to be chrome plated at ashford chroming in Kent, hope they do a good job! I'm polishing the TB AFM and thermostat housing myself, dremmel, fine sandpaper and a lot of autosol does the job! takes a lot of time but well worth it when it's done

When it arrives ill send you some pics, I was quoted £145 to have it polished to a mirror finish or £175 to have it plated. Which I don't think is too bad

Are you able to do a step by step picture guide? It'll be great for the wiki! I'm trying to get hold of a dremmel...can I use an angle grinder with a wire brush attachment?
