Normal saloons (no kit)
Standard spoiler of none
no ugly m-tech 2s please
M-tech cars
m-tech 1 preferably
m-tech 2 only on m-tech 2 sports
Convitbles should never have an m-tech 2 best with no spoiler
Tourings....

Depends,
Cabbys should never hava spoiler in my opiioion.
Tech 2 only on tech 2 cars, or tech 1 sports,
Tech 1 only on tech 1 cars,
And the rubber spoilers on luxes,
Standard cars should have no spoiler,
NO aftermanrket fibreglass wrongness!!

I think the sports look good without the mtech 2 spoiler but then wouldnt be complete without it.
Iv seen alot of pics of 325i sports recently and are all without the rear spoiler. IS IT THE NEW IN THING?

Doesn't look right without any at all, looks complete with standard, looks even better with the M-tech spoiler.

I agree with you simon, a spoiler is needed on the touring, gives it the fineshing touch.
convertale is a diffrent story. When the roofs down its looks nice, with clen lines, whereas a tech 2 spoiler ruins it imo.

any of the e30 range... as long as you dont fit a evo or subaru spoiler. or worse still they alloy ones that look like your mums ironing board

So i am doing the right thing then, I am going to remove the M-Tech 2 that is currently fitted and put on a M-Tech 1, or should it be one of the many standard spoilers i have hanging around in my back garden...

Tech 1 would look best on your car

Spoiler of Choice... M-Tech 1
Only put the Tech 2 on 325iS Evo's
and on proper cabs, I don't mind the normal small spoiler, but anything else looks out of place when the roof is down

My opinion with any car is usually whatever is standard on that car is ok but I wouldn't change to anything else unless it gave aerodynamic benefits (like reduced lift) and I needed those benefits for the driving I was doing. I don't like things that are for show but I also like to keep the apperance mostly standard so I wouldn't take a wing off unless it was adding a noticable amount of weight or drag.
My '85 323i has the standard rubber lip bit on the bootlid.

The more and more I see an M Tech 2 Spoiler.....the more I think it just looks too big for the car!
I used to love it on my old M Tech 2 Sport.....but since having the M Tech 1 Sport.......the M Tech 1 spoiler looks nicer and suits the cars lines better!

M-Tech 2 spoiler all the way for me, thing it suits a BM nicely and isn't over powering in terms of style. Goes really well with the M-Tech 2 kit, just look too plain without.

m-tech 2's should stay on m-tech 2 sports and thats they only car it should be on! imo they look shite on cabbys and anything with out the rest of the kit. Looks like a pretender!
no tech 2 spoilers on tech 1 sports either! fashion crime! tech1 spoiler looks good on tech1 sports!
yup cabs without or maybe an SE lip

Tech 2 on tech 2 kitted cars
only anything else looks council and out of proportion
tech 1 ideally suited to tech 1 kits and some non kitted cars
se one suits most if you want it
im happy spoilerless tho
