After this mornings testimonials regarding ebay coils il tapped that on the head and looked for second hand ones. Iv bought these Bilstiens. I got them for a good price, just more than the ebay ones, although its just fronts im not worried, rears can be lowering springs for all i care

Probably a much better option than cheapo coilovers! Rear shocks and springs come up all the time so that's not a prob.

rears are a lot easier to play with anyway, just undo the damper bolts, jack it up, pull the spring out an slot in a thinner (or thicker) spring pad, they can even be doubled up, or removed completely for further tweeking.

To be honest that pic in my sig is on original m-tec suspension, it's just been treated to brand new H&R's and e92 top hats so has a fixed 70mm drop at the front now and 40mm at the back

I am, just not had the time to run it to the MOT station, it's been off the road for winter. Only problem is we were supposed to be having the pavement lowered and its not been done yet, so don't know if it's going to get off the drive. Massive fail

Those just look like DIY coilovers with bilstein dampers. Did the seller offer any more information on the damper bu,p bad rebound rates? And I would be asking for spring rates too.

It will be these welded onto standard front struts after the original spring seat had been ground off, could be done wth any type of insert same as a standard car, wouldn't really make them "Avo coilovers", "Koni coilovers", or whatever. Basically your standard Macphearson strut front end with a smaller diameter spring fitted.
