Hey folks

Really hoping to brainstorm a bit with you guys who are the guru's of the e30's!

Basically I got my e30 325i mtech II fairly cheap and I took the carpet out last weekend to check for cancer. it wasn't actually too bad but now that the carpets out, i can't really be jacked putting the heavy damn thing back in!

Got a really clean leather interior/cards to go in but contemplating selling it for two buckets and taking the car in the dorifto direction!

Can you get seat rails for e30s and buckets? or do they need to be custom? Wonder how much the black leather interior is worth....I paid quite a bit for it :(

You can get e30 rails for buckets no problem and if you decide to flog the leather seats I might take em off you

I haven't seen any.

I've had to modify my seat moubts to get bucket seats into my e30.

You can get e30 specific mounts, Either base mounted or side mounted(cobra only to my knowledge) I had Newish cobra seats when I bought my e30 which came with e30 specific mounts from cobra. Which I sold

The seats which I have currently , has had the O.E frames welded on

Someone turning a Tech II into a drifter? This isn't going to go down well 8O

Personally I'd stick the carpet in and get the leather interior to go with.

A decent sport is worth good money and to thash it as you intend won't end well for it I'd have thought. Although if it's a 325i with a sport kit bolted onto it then go for the whole stripped shebang, carpet, door cards, roof lining, seats ect.

Here's some updated pics. The car already has a 2 way lsd so it wouldn't be too much work to make it drift worthy.

Cheers for the comments I'll have a good think and see where to go. I have absolutely zero money at the moment so I guess it's all chat but if I could get two (even fake) bride/recaros for not much more + selling the leathers I'd be really happy.

Each to their own Green - resale doesn't bother me. I don't see this ever being a better back road car or daily driver than the cars I already have. Weekend drift toy on the other hand...:)

Thats not the point. The point theyr making is your turning an ever rare very desirablemodel into something your going to treat like shit and thrash on a track. Couldnt you have used a shit model haha

Yeah I see where you're coming from. It's a tough one. I don't think I value/cherish the car in the same way. I think if I was in your shoes I'd probably equally be a bit pissed off at the idea of someone ruining a rare example.

I've been toying with the idea of just putting the car up for sale as is or stripping it or saving it (as it needs brakes, rust treatment and a few other little things) but as it's a third car it's not going to get money spent on it for a while. I might just throw together a for sale thread and see where it goes.
