Unloved E30's in council estates - what to do?

An issue we've all encountered....

So, you're driving along in your gleaming chariot, pass through a council estate and what's that? An unloved E30....ooh, its a nice model/engine that is clearly in the wrong hands and could be worth £1500, £2000, £2500 with that rustspot treated, panel resprayed, wing fixed etc.

What to do? Note under the wipers? Knock on the door? Offer him a fair price or offend him with pocket money to increase your profit? Assume he knows nothing of their value?

Are there still people out there (given how widespread access to internet is) who don't know the value of an E30 these days?

Alex

Never treat anyone like a cu*t.
Assume they do & just knock on the door and play it by ear.

I've had at least two little penis crusts offer me chump change.

So to sum up.... don't be a penis crust. :D

Not just in your area then

And that little bit of rust is expected with a car of that age. And the wheels are worth £500 on they're own... Pretty Rare bottletops you see

The owner probably has grand delusions of doing them up one day.

The picture of the rust does look like it is a case of the paint having peeled and there being rust on the surface of the metal. But I realise it will be rotten properly. :D

Can't believe they won't sell them ?

I know of a rare .... Because it is early E46 (sorry guys) 328Ci Coupe on a T registration when they first came out .... Silver .... 17 inch understated Yuppie Star spoke alloys like I got :-D .... Stood since 2008 that I can remember .... In Hammersmith not on a council estate but near one ....

I know of a nice looking T Registration 328Ci Coupe in Richmond St Margaret's looks sweet .... Considering these are getting rarer
