That actually made me stop and think.

I've treated my S50 E30 a bit like a hack recently and it's beginning to show. It looks more than a little deshevelled and there's a hint of VANOS growl that will need some costly TLC, but I've been putting it all off and getting annoyed because it isn't perfect.

I bought it with my late girlfriend, and didn't get around to doing anything with it until I was grieving and needed something to focus on.

It IS a reflection of me (noisy, old and it all happens too fast once you get it going) and there are hours of love in it and I'm not treating it as I used to.

It's weird how we have such an emotional attachment to things. My relationship with my car has gone from yearning, to love, dispondancy, pride, complacency, and to annoyance on occasion; but I've never imagined not owning it.

I think I might go look for some of the bits on the 'need to find' list for the old girl.

Jesus. American apple style marketing applied to a geeks video about his car. And it worked. :o:

Yeah im the same jai. Amasing how what you drive can sorta relate to your personality or life. As im sorta piecing my life back together my car is getting built up into something people are beginning to look at in a nicer light. Its coming together as is life after years of madness. God dam video.

Nice and I can see where he's coming from.

I've owned mine for 18yrs and it becomes apart of you, I'm not in love with E30's it's more of an emotional attachment that kept me with mine.

Certainly agree this is a spot on vid.

(Being picky, I'm not sure about the wheels, moredoorness, brake lining warning light, inspection light, pedals, gear knob and front body kit fit though!)
