"As it will be a lot easier and cheaper to fine the law-abiding but forgetful than it will be to deal with the hardline serial offenders, we think we can guess which way this one will go."

Sounds about right.

hehe, cheers russ. Good tactic. Just like TV and the Zone... Keep yourself busy with triviality and you wont notice the erosion of your civil liberties. Bit by bit, chunk by chunk!

Seriously though. Has anybody actually read Orwell's 1984 (Where the original Big Brother convept comes from) Written in 1948 about what 1984 may be like.. There are alot of things that are already happening and I reckon other bits arn't far off.

If (like me) you can't be arsed to read stuff download the audiobook and give it a listen, even burn it to CD and chuck it in the car.. It's scary!!!!

In fact, I'm gonna find you guys a like to it!

"tackle more serious crime"

Like what?
Fag end out the window maybe?
Faulty off side tail light?

This has to be the best though:-

Apparently, the 'Disclosure of Vehicle Insurance Regulations 2005' laws,
were made under powers of the 'Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005'

What a bunch of :wan: we have running this country
:cursin:

As technology increases this level of control becomes easier to put in place.

its stating the obvious I know, but that would coarse people's freedoms, its sad its happening here (in Europe as opposed to USA) as we should be fighting freedom in the other direction, the one that gives you more

Personally I'm all for freedom. Statements like "Better 10 guilty men go free than 1 innocent man be punished"* really sum it up for me.

The problem is with freedom comes responsability and most people aren't equipped to deal with that responsability**.

* Can't actually remember who said it.
